Overview:
Bidding for sides, Italian Infantry Forces may vary. . . . The Allied air campaign over Sicily was receiving far too many casualties. The Italians had moved their main battery of AAA into the streets of Syracuse, hiding amongst the people of Syracuse, and using them as a shield to thwart Allied bombing. It was said that an unnamed American General whose roots were reportedly from Syracuse, would not permit high altitude bombing, and any other bombing was deemed far too risky. The Canadian 1st Para Brigade "volunteered" to drop behind enemy lines and remove the AAA threat personally, with a minimum of collateral damage.Attacker: Canadian (1st Canadian Para Brigade)
