2023-05-07(D) Jobbo Fett vs RootinPutin Japanese winThe Japanese get to HIP, several infantry guns, wire, and have to prevent the Chinese from grabbing 2 of the 7 buildings up north. Wire blocking two bridges (somewhat) and accurate artillery did much to punish the Chinese troops - causing what we only thought was fair to be an early end to the scenario. ELR 2 and a consistent 7 on morale checks made life terribly hard for the Chinese, and the loss of 1 tank early on didn't help either. I'd probably change things to simply "wreck" a bridge or two rather than having wire, as the Chinese aren't given any DCs and the terrain is terrible for that anyways. It does require the Chinese to attack on two opposite sides, I find, as OBA will evaporate anything in the open. Least Valuable Player (LVP) goes to both our Snipers, despite being 4 (axis) and 6 (allies) neither woke up in 13 or so attempts.
