Was later published in CH 6/4 magazine with the title changed to 'Stalking Tigers' as CH #155. . . .In January, General von Arnim, who had just taken command in Tunisia was directed to implement Operation 'Eilbote I' (Special Messenger 1). The German plan of battle was to seize all five passes through the Tunisian eastern dorsal, thus gaining control of all entrances to the Tunisian plain as well as safeguard the communications between von Arnim’s army in the north and that commanded by General Rommel in the south. On the morning of January 18th, following a short but intense barrage, the Germans attacked against French positions near Pont du Fahs.
