SOLITAIRE ASL - Slowly making their way through the city, Nordland Regiment closed in on the huge Dniepr River and was ordered to create a bridgehead to facilitate the future drive to the east of the First Panzer Army. Even before getting over the river they were pounded by artillery cadet units from the city itself.
