Overview:

Patton was pouring it on to capture Metz. 3rd Army tanks were rolling through the French countryside. At Gravelotte, mere miles from their goal, fierce resistance was encountered. Thrown back by the German forces defending the town, the Americans called down artillery fire. The 17th SS Panzergreaders retreated, leaving the infantry and as the dust settled, Patton’s 3rd Army moved in.

2024-06-03(A) David Garvin vs Nick FarynaA American winIn the very first turn, the soldiers I got from the balance were dead, via Snipers and his on board mortars. In the end, I was able to force my way into the building. The 10-2 AL was a boss and his gyro stabilizer really made the difference. Mid way, most of my force was broken and out of position. I ended up getting some key rallies and that sealed the deal with some final heroics.
2022-09-04(D) Jesus Pie vs Don Holland American winVery good played by Don, not so by me. Only Don bad luck (he breaks several MA from his tanks) and my good luck (a mortar CH kill his 9-2), made this game last to the last turn,
2022-07-15(A) Michael Rodgers vs Brian Martuzas German winDull for the Germans; just hunker down and slowly withdraw into town.

2022-03-17(D) John Garlic vs Larry Rohlfing German win[Imported from ROAR]
2021-11-20(D) Andy Bagley vs Josh Kalman DrawPlayed as a friendly at Bounding Fire 2021, with German balance as my opponent had played this scenario before. Started disasterously for me as the Germans when the first American shot scored a critical hit on my HMG+crew in the steeple! The Americans then cleared my guns from the hill, and could then concentrate all of their forces on the village. This was when things started to change however, with the Germans putting up stubborn resistance on the western approaches, and the American tanks that got into the village unable to do much without infantry support. Then my sniper shot dead the American 9-2 leader when he was stacked with another leader and three squads, with serious damage then coming from the LLMCs.
We called it quits at midnight rather than play the last two turns, but we figured either side could have won so agreed it a draw.
2021-11-20(D) Simon Staniforth vs German winThe German outlying force didn’t do anything to delay the Americans and of the reinforcing AFVs 2 were quickly KO. However the infantry hunkered down in the stone buildings of the village, falling back slowly and just did enough to hold on and achieve the VC. American forces have high firepower but just couldn’t get it where it was needed to break all the remaining Germans

2018-03-16(A) Kermit Mullins vs Justin Williamson American winRound one March Madness 2018.
2018-03-16(D) nathan wegener vs Mike Bistodeau German winNice scenario down to the wire. Attacker used is ht very well to freeze defenses. Last turn (due to time limit) mad rush by Americans fell short. MM2018
2017-02-28(D) Øyvind Jacobsen Bjørkås vs Josh American win
2017-01-31(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Sebastiano Caltabiano American winThe fixed set up on the hill is a bit annoying.
