Overview:
"Red Storm" --- Launched on 22 June 1944 in Belorussia, the Bagration Offensive succeeded beyond the wildest expectations of STAVKA. Army Group Center suffered huge losses, and on 3rd July the Red Army recaptured Minsk, sealing the fate of tens of thousands of encircled German troops to the east of the city. The attackers tried to exploit their success and continue their advance westward. In the sector the 1st Belorussian Front, the Cavalry Mechanized group under General Pliev pushed through the Pripet Marshes, followed by the infantry. The Germans tried to slow them down by committing all available forces. One of these was the Hungarian 1st Cavalry Division, a formation lacking effective anti-tank weaponry against the Soviet tanks. . . . .Victory Conditions: The Russian player wins, if at the end of the scenario, he controls more multi-hex stone buildings than the Hungarian player.Attacker: Russian (Elements 54th Guards Rifle Division)
