Overview:

A stalemate had settled around Heraklion. The Germans lacked the strength to take the town and airfield, but each day that passed saw their position improve as reinforcements trickled in. The Allies could do little more than their orders required: to hold the town and airfield until relieved. A platoon from the 2/4 Battalion AIF was dispatched to occupy the heights of Hill 296, known to the Australians as Apex Hill. For two days Lt. Kesteven and his men observed Germans movements. At dawn on the 26th it became clear that Apex had become untenable, as a group of Germans had moved between the hill and the village of Babali, a Black Watch outpost. After sending a last signal saying they would attempt to breakout, Kesteven led his men down the rocky slope.

2017-02-10(A) Allen Evenson vs Steve Slunt German winI didn't set up very well and allowed reinforcing Germans to interdict too much too early. Conceeded on turn 5 after seeing that I would be getting 1 or 2 victory points of the 8 required. Still a fun scenario.
2012-03-04(D) Jeff Coleman vs Fred Ingram Australian / British win
2012-03-04(A) Fred Ingram vs Jeff Coleman Australian / British winIt took 3 full game turns to break the Germans in the eastern building within his setup area. Luckily, encirclement is the Commonwealth's friend. The German reinforcements came in on the north side rather than down the board seam. With the restricted range of the inherent German firepower and no long range MG's, the Aussies were able to make a break for it on turn 4 intact and the Germans conceded
