Overview:
The initial airborne drop on Corregidor left the Americans disorganized as many units missed the Topside landing zone. The poorly organized Japanese naval personnel tried to keep the paratroopers contained until a Japanese Army detachment could provide reinforcements. The Americans quickly pulled together and started moving against the Japanese in order to take the high ground southeast of Topside LZ.Attacker: American (Elements of the 3rd Battalion, 503rd Parachute Infantry Regimental Combat Team)
