Overview:

A few days before the start of Operation Husky, Mussolini had ordered General Guzzoni’s 6th Army to defend Sicily to the last man. The demoralized and poorly equipped Italian soldiers did exactly the opposite. On the morning of 12 July, the Edmonton Regiment advanced along Highway 115 towards the town of Modica. Since landing on Italian soil 48 hours earlier, they had faced almost no opposition. That was about to change.
Attacker: Canadian (Edmonton Regiment, 1st Canadian Infantry Division and 50th Royal Tank Regiment, 23rd Armoured Brigade)
Defender: Italian (123rd Regiment, 206th Coastal Defense Division, 3rd Company, 102nd Anti-Tank Battalion, and 163rd Self-Propelled Battery and 169th Blackshirt Battalion and 2nd Company 101st Tank Battalion, Napoli Division (Mobile Group G))

2024-10-14(D) Øyvind Jacobsen Bjørkås vs Tobias Canadian winNice scenario. The Canadians are really short on time, but the Italian ELR has them melting away faster than snow in hell. My opponent got two Shermans through the village to cover the entry of the reinforcements (one through the woods). My reinforcements entered in armored assault to try to reach the southernmost row house, at which point one of the Shermans hit the MR/35(f) with a +9 shot, burning it, and at the next movement factor for the infantry breaking the entire stack with the 12 flat shot. They were all captured by a Canadian HS, but refused to speak even one intelligible word.

2024-05-19(A) manzoli andrea vs Galletto Italian win
2019-09-15(D) Andrew Luden vs Rick Luden Italian winLooked like an interesting, if odd scenario, turned into a mess... Canadian 1 saw a Sherman burned in the southern wheat field, and after spreading to more of the crops a Gust on Canadian 2 had in both the wooden building just south of the road and the other adjoining field. With the entire advance squeezed into a 3 hex wide area, their observer's LoS from the steeple blocked, and the tanks cut off from supporting the advance things fell like dominos.
2019-03-10(D) Ron Garcia vs Darryl M. Italian win
