Overview:

The Balkan Campiagn offered little hope in the way of a clear-cut victory for the Allies. Nevertheless the British often proved themselves equal in fighting skills against a numerically superior enemy. As the British fought hard to hold back the German advances, most actions centered around prepared rearguard positions. Many times these positions would prove too much for a quick frontal assault, as was the case at the Proastion position on the western flank. Rather than waiting for their artillery support to move up, the Germans moved off the main road and threatened to catch the 1st Armored Brigade Headquarter section to the rear, at Komanos.
Attacker: German (Panzer-Regiment 33 and Schützen-Regiment 10, Panzer-Division 9)
Defender: British/New Zealand (HQ Section, 1st Armoured Brigade/4th Hussars/3rd Royal Tank Regiment/Northumberlan Hussars/27th New Zealand Machine Gun Battalion)

2022-11-26(D) walter mcwilliams vs Tom Kearney German winTom and I try to get a Black Friday playing in most Thanksgivings. Went big and old school with this one and it was a blast. I think this is tough on the Brits but both sides have a lot of options. Turn 6 was death knell for the brits again Tom made a big push up the middle and 3 x11's and a 10 pretty much had him deeper into my defense in force than he should have been. He exploited over the next two turns and I simply couldn't get back on my feet. An inf Crit from a PzIII on the Brit 9-2 HMG kill stack was the final nail. With 1 A10 left to stand against 3 of the PZIII I through in the towel at then end of turn 8.

2021-02-03(A) patrick palma vs Jake Smith British/New Zealand win
2019-11-24(D) Jeff B vs Tom Mueller British/New Zealand win3.75 hrsBrits set up to prevent a German Blitzkrieg up the roads, stripping both Carriers of their MGs to add a bit more survivability to their defense. I made the mistake of not pulling back my armor after Turn 2 to get out of range of the German tanks, but I was lucky enough to extricate them by kicking them into motion during German Turn 2. I made another mistake during German Turn 3 by not laying some crucial RFP, but in the end it didn't matter after my AT guns did some serious damage. I ended up flaming a Panzer and blasting two loaded HTs (including the one with the 10-2). None of the Germans survived, and at that point my opponent decided to throw in the towel.
