Overview:
By early May, the village of Potsangbam – known to the British as “Pots and Pans” – had already been the scene of furious fighting, with attack and counterattack pushing first one side and then the other out of their positions, only for the enemy to launch another attack. On the morning of May 7th, the Punjabs, supported by the Lees of 150th Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps, had their turn to finally push out the Japanese, who had infiltrated back into the village during the night.Attacker: British (9/14 Punjab Regiment, 150th Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps, 1st West Yorkshire Regiment, 7th Light Cavalry)
