Overview:

SS Panzergrenadier Division 1 launched its initial Operation Citadel attack up the main road toward Bykovka. The attack ran directly into prepared positions of the 151st Guards Rifle Regiment. Elements began to penetrate the first positions and race toward Bykovka. The 28th Antitank Artillery Brigade had established strong points throughout and north of the infantry positions along the main road. The guns cracked along with the piercing sounds of antitank rifles and machineguns.

2024-11-16(D) Ian Morris vs Mark Blackmore German (SS) winTalked into a late game - never good for my concentration. Used the same defence as against Neil, but Mark kept his tanks right back for a couple of turns while he used his infantry to find the guns - dashed unsporting, I say. He suffered numerous infantry casualties and lost at least one tank immobilised/destroyed, but just got enough stuff off to win when added to his CVP score. Had his CE Tiger failed a MC from a pointblank shot, he would have lost. Kudos to Mark for a skillful attack.
2024-11-16(D) Ian Morris vs Neil Brunger Russian winAll over in two turns, as my AT ambush destroyed or immobilised five out of seven tanks.
2024-04-22(D) Dave Mareske vs Dennis Dowd Russian winThe Russian were able to score two CHs, one on a Tiger preventing the SS from getting enough points exited. Though they were able to eliminate two guns and the 9-2 leader died in CC. One Tiger bogged in a trench trying to exit. A fun scenario with lots of action.
