Overview:

Since the 19th of November the tide in Stalingrad had begun its fateful turn. For on that day to the north and south of the city, the Soviet Army launched a massive two-pronged counterattack, on a 200-kilometer front, with 10 infantry divisions, three tank corps and two cavalry corps aimed at relieving the beleaguered city. Gradually over the next days and weeks the Russians within the city turned into the primary attackers, and the Germans morphed into its principal diehard defenders. Within the perimeter of Regiment 578 four buildings in particular helped hold the Russian assaults at bay. From his command post Major Rettenmaier, who had once been tasked with driving the enemy before him into the Volga, now did his best to be kept from being swept from within sight of its banks altogether.

2022-04-17(A) Rob MacGinley vs Ian Willey German winThe Germans have a wall of Firepower and the Russians Have to bust in
The dice rolls are huge in the opening phase since crossing Open Ground by Human wave is kinda your only option
2021-04-14(D) Dwayne Duval vs Kevin Duval Russian winUsed Russian balance. The German mistake was to designate most building VP in the northwest area, while not defending it strongly enough. Even though we played it to the very end, with the Russian commander considering giving up more than once, it was revealed to him at game end that he had in fact gained 5 VP for the win, much to his delight and surprise.
