Overview:

The Japanese 3rd, 9th and 101st Divisions were attempting to cross Wusong Creek to establish a line approximately 800 meters south of the creek. Chinese Colonel Yan Yinggao was observing the developing action from his reserve position as the Japanese attacked the 3rd Battalion, surrounding Chinese forces in Tangheizhai. Just as the Japanese were encircling the village, Yan received orders to reinforce the 3rd Battalion. On the march, Yan observed sixty Japanese troops in a column formation that was advancing on Tangheizhai. From the village, a few stouthearted Chinese soldiers mad a desperate last stand.

2024-01-26(A) Shane Pask vs Terry Ward Japanese winCancon 2024 - Round 1. Terry conceded when my Banzai charge worked (3 CC and his rolls were 10,10,and 11) and his last stack all failed a 1MC.

2023-07-23(A) Jobbo Fett vs JobboFett Japanese winA spread out defense in the south and a opportunistic setup in the north for the Chinese was betrayed by an early break of the MMC holding the only Chinese MMG from an average shot right out of the gate. White Phosphorus didn't play much of a role and I opted out of using smoke. Despite this, the Chinese couldn't make any headway and had half their OoB break by their 2nd turn. With some additional PFPh shots, I felt the Chinese simply couldn't secure a win due to the high losses. For fun, I kept playing and started aggressively banzai charging, with, through a series of KIAs via Melee, turned the tables on the attacker. Short, fast, this is a nice scenario that offers an interesting problem for both sides. Hard not to recommend.
2020-06-26(D) Ulric Schwela vs Tony Gibson Japanese winJapanese set up to give Chinese reinforcements a bloody nose right from the first PFPh, and it went downhill from there. Chinese were slightly diced as the overall average belied a 7.6 on MCs balanced by good CC rolls. The reinforcements struggled to pass a single MC, and rolled two 12s. The MMG in the village rolled 11 twice before succumbing, although the 8-1 and two squads wiped out a stack of Banzai attackers. Although the Chinese managed to eliminate several Japanese squads, the Japanese were unstoppable, their leaders never failed and their troops followed them for a solid Japanese win. Well played by Tony!
