Overview:
Following heavy fighting, a night assault was able to enter the Bastion and the supporting German engineers began to destroy the fixed fortifications there. Meanwhile, the 213th Regiment continued to clear nearby, remaining fortifications. Troops on the front shouted "the Russians are coming" as enemy naval infantry welled up out of the fort Maxim Gorki...and more fanatics came up from the bowels of the earth into fortifications in the German rear that had not yet been destroyed.Attacker: Russian (109th Rifle Division and 8th Naval Infantry Brigade)
