Overview:

Poland’s 60th Infantry Division completed its mobilization on 19 September and was assigned to Group Polesie. The Soviet invasion was threatening the Romanian Bridgehead, where the Poles, determined to keep it open, still expected French support to arrive the Romanian ports and where Polish forces were trying to escape the Germans. The Soviet 12th Army pushed into Poland threatening the bridgehead. The 60th Infantry Division fought several successful delaying actions against the Soviets on 29 September, but came under heavy attack on the 30th. Milanow was defended by the 79th Battalion, reinforced with a company from the 83rd Infantry Regiment, and a heavy machine-gun company. Two battalions of the 99th Rifle Division attacked Milanow.

2021-07-24(D) Steven Swann vs Chris Brackney Polish winHeavily favors the Polish player even though it went the full 5 turns. I would recommend that the Russian player receives the Balance provision. Poles never used the Dare Death squads.
2021-01-20(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Alessandro Levorato Polish winIn order to win in the short time span of the scenario the russians need to control 2 multilocation buildings, the only way to go is set up multiple human waves, my opponent managed just one (quite succesfull) in the second turn, afterward he grew confident, and this led to some mistakes that consolidated polish position. Nice scenario.
2020-08-09(D) walter mcwilliams vs Tom Kerney Polish winBFP147 The Commissar's Folly: After a short break for vacations and family visits Tom and I finally got this scenario, third from the last of our PiF play through complete. It was a polish victory as early on everything went right for me. The 1/2 squad scouts set up to deny early concealment inflicted heavier casualties than they should have and this knocked Tom off his time table which in a 5 turn game can't afford much of a delay. There were a lot of ups and downs throughout, but the Poles hung tough and when the cow bell rang; denied the Russian hordes the victory. This scenario is balanced on a knife edge and I liked the DD squad option, which I used once to retake, just for a moment one of the outer ring buildings.
