Overview:

For the Drive for Leningrad, 1st Panzer Division was forcing deep penetration into Soviet lines, seeking to cut of supply lines. On 24 June, the division stopped their eastward march and turned south towards Rossine to encircle the Soviet 2nd Tank Division. In their path was the Soviet 48th Rifle Division, supported by armor (possible in Variable OOB dr choices). The Soviets had deployed a few 76.2mm field guns in an anti-tank role.

2024-07-06(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Russian winGermans attacked the ford on the right side. Russian 76 knocked out the lead MKIII and KIA'd the 9-1 Armor Leader. Then the Russian MMG managed to break and eliminate the 5-4-8's as they moved up with the German 9-1. The 8-1 stack armored assaulted and the Russian MMG managed to break the stack. With the German infantry down for the count, the Germans didn't have enough EVP for the win and gave the concession for a Russian victory.

2016-01-29(A) Michael Dorosh vs Colin Emerson Russian winPlaytest version. Entered on the east half of the board, moved to the woods and set up a fire base to win the firefight. Whittled down forces, moved two tanks west. One was taken out by a SHOCK from a concealed MMG, which turned out to be an UK and then a destroyed tank. Made one attempt to cross the stream at the Ford, took casualties and peeled back. By Turn 6 it was mathematically impossible to win the game so I conceded.
