Overview:
Continuing the 379th Infantry Regiment’s mission to eliminate the German remnants in the Ruhr Pocket, I Company occupied the village of Korte with two platoons. Eight tanks, three halftracks and a company of panzergrenadiers from the 116th Panzer Division returned to smash the defenders of Korte. German tanks pushed north of Korte where they ran into Sherman tanks from the 709th Tank Battalion.Attacker: German (Panzergrenadier Regiment 60 and Panzer Regiment 16, Panzer Division 116)
