Overview:

On March 10, on the second day of the offensive, the Alpine soldiers of the 5th Pusteria Division achieved first success after capturing the fortified peak of Mali Spadarit, at the far left of the Front. However, the Italians were in an advanced position, far from any friendly unit. The heavy fire of the adjacent Greek positions on its flanks and rearguard finally forced the brave soldiers of the Pusteria Division to retreat to the slopes of the mountain.

2020-07-29(D) Tim Wiegmann vs Mike Grogan Greek winI am still fairly new to ASL, so I am sure the scenario has challanges that simply eluded me. That being said, I felt like I had very few strategic options as the Greeks: I placed my forces on top of the hill, fired down on the advancing Italians, and hoped for good rolls, which I got. But the victory feels somewhat hollow if it can be obtained be playing so passively.

In our first game the Italians swarmed over the hill in a direct assault overwhelming the single Greek squad forward on the hill crest. The Greek player then tried to intensive fire his INF gun which promptly malfunctioned. As the Italian player i had some exceptional dice which always helps.
