Overview:

Despite repeated probes by British units from their positions along the southern bank of the Imjin River, the Communist Chinese successfully concealed the buildup of their 63rd Army for an attack on Seoul. As the night of 22 April turned into 23 April, the Communist Chinese attacked en masse across the Imjin, fordable in several places at that time of the year, with the aim of seizing the capital city, only a short distance to the south. The enemy was engaged by a patrol from C Company, 1st Battalion, The Gloucestershire Regiment that spoiled much of the element of surprise by ambushing the Communist Chinese as they waded across the river.
Attacker: Communist Chinese (1st Battalion, 559th Regiment, 187th Division)
Defender: British (D Company, 1st Battalion, The Gloucestershire Regiment, 29th Independent Infantry Brigade Group)

2023-11-24(A) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins Communist Chinese win
2023-11-24(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Communist Chinese winDan's Chinese came forward in a grand, sweeping attack. I drew back to back Red Cards and had no OBA and my Mortars did nothing. The Chinese swept over me and by Turn 4, all of the British were dead on the field. Nearly all of them killed in Close Combat. My boys took just enough with them that by the end of Turn 7, Dan had only barely exited the 55 points necessary to win the game. The win -loss stats don't lie...the British will get mauled and badly.
2020-10-23(D) Rob MacGinley vs Ian Willey Communist Chinese winA Nightmare of a night scenario not for the feint hearted with lots of SSR stuff to make night even more complicated
The history of this battle makes the Brits supermen when it really happened - this is not reflected well here where the hoarde is unstoppable!!!
2020-10-15(A) Michael Rodgers vs Bruno L'Archeveque British winChicomm exited 62 VP. British exited 11 VP to win.
2018-12-04(D) Tom Kearney vs Alan Saltzman Communist Chinese winI was overwhelmed and overrun. I think the key is for the British to focus only on one group of Chinese and ignore the other two. Destroying one group then exiting your troops will make it nearly impossible for the Chinese to get the required EVP. Too bad I realized this too late.
