Overview:

Brigadier General Paik Sun Yup leads his 1st ROK Division supported by M-46 tanks in an attack to clear the KPA 17th Division from buildings and trenches on boards 17z and 18. KPA mines, hidden AT-guns and SU-76ms make this an exciting, 5.5 turn, tournamax-level scenario with lots of movement and tense action.
Attacker: South Korean / American (1st Battalion, 12th Regiment, 1st ROK Division and C Company, American 6th Tank Battalion)
Defender: North Korean (NKPA 17th Division and 32nd Division)

2019-07-26(D) Stephen dedier vs Holt, Jim North Korean winThis scenario looked tilted toward the ROK at first with the NK not able to start concealed and no good way to attack the thick American armor
The ROK is forced to cross open territory as the don't have many turns to accomplish their mission. They only have to keep the NK out of good order in the victory hexes rather than take them.

It was a very see-saw battle with a lot of low die rolls and sniper activity. Snipers took out both the ROK 9-2 and the NK 10-0 Commisar. My big mortar malfed right away and was no factor. Jim kept my heavy at bay except for that one turn where it KIA's a squad and leader trying to break across open ground.
ROK human bullet takes out one NK AFV, NK AT mines get a tank and another is killed on a PB side shot.
NK lost every CC on the first try until the 4th/5th turn when they took out a tank with snakes and also a HS trying to tie me up in one of the 2 lonely victory buildings.
In the NK half of turn 5, Jim malfed the gun on the 4th tank that was the best hope to clear the village. With everyone broken and leaderless in that area, he threw in the towel.
Very close game with a lot of momentum swings.
