Overview:
A week after the Axis had retreated from the Mareth Line to Wadi Akarit, Montgomery was ready to attack again. After a massive barrage, 51st, 50th and 4th Indian Divisions assaulted the Axis Line. By 0600 in the morning of 6th April, the key position of Djebel Roumana had been captured by the 51st (Highland) Infantry Division, threatening to unhinge the Axis line.
