Overview:
After the disaster that befell Kompanie 3 of SS-Panzer-Regiment 12 on the 9th, a last attempt to retake Norrey was made by the only uncommitted infantry left available to SS-Panzer-Division 12, SS-Panzer-Pionier-Abteilung 12. Ordered to assault at dawn on 10 June, without a preliminary bombardment, they gathered in darkness and passed through Bataillon 1 of SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 25 at 0500 hours, moving up the gentle slope from the woods without firing a shot, until hit by artillery and mortars.
