Zidani, Yugoslavia, May 1945: At the beginning of 1944 the 1st Croatian Light Parachute Company was permanently transferred to Zagreb, where it was temporarily disbanded and some men were given extended leave and some of them even deserted to the partisans. Soon the unit was again re-formed and it was stationed until July 1944 in the barracks in Zagreb. After that it was transferred to new military barracks in Maksimir, where they were subordinated to the 1st Air Force Base in Zagreb. At that time the decision to expand the Croatian Light Parachute Company into the Parachute Battalion was made. The unit was now designated as the 1st Croatian Light Infantry Parachute Battalion (1. Hrvatska padobranska lovacka bojna).Attacker: Croatian (Elements of the 1st Croatian Parachute Brigade)
