Overview:

By noon the Hallamshire Battalion had reached Objective BARRACUDA (Caen-Juvigny Road). The Hallams knew a counterattack would be imminent and quickly established outposts and and anti-tank (A-T) gun screen. Within an hour, SS-Grenadiers and Panther tanks atatcked west along the road in an attempt to close the grwoing gap with Panzer Lehr. Earlier that week, the 49th (West Riding) Division commander, General "Bubbles" Barker, offered a 5 pound prize for the first gun detachment to knock-out a Panther tank. After a short exchange of fire, the Panzer IVs (mistakenly identified as Panthers) drove purposefully downhill towards the bridge over the Bordel River.

2022-09-27(D) Richard Jenulis vs Bill Owen German (SS) win
2022-08-22(A) Indy Lagu vs Rob Oler British winAn interesting offering by Lone Canuck. Five and a half SS squads attacking 8 British (mostly second liners).

I was a bit too cautious on the attack and fell one turn short. Rob and I misplayed a couple of rules. One that ended up in my loss of a PzIV.

In the end, it was a bit of a nail-biter. I would recommend this one. I would rate it higher if not for a couple of minor issues we had regarding their rules and nomenclature.
2022-01-22(A) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins British winFirst to play and post.
2022-01-22(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best British winVery hard fought battle. The Germans managed to flank from the north. All four MKIV's were destroyed by the 57L's. Dan's SS Grenadiers took the advantage in the infantry fight, but couldn't take out the fortified location as a single 4-4-7 with an LMG held out for the duration. At game end, Dan had 39 points and the British had 44 points for the win.
