Overview:
The toughest unit in the Nationalist Army, the 74th Reorganized Division, was surrounded on the Mengliamggu mountain range. Worse yet, these mountains lacked water and foliage, meaning even the vaunted 74th could not hold out for long. Units attempting to relieve the trapped division were ambushed and annihilated by the Communist. Only one hope for rescue remained: the soldiers of the 25th Reorganized Division, who set out in full strength to extract their brethren from certain death. By May 14, they had reached Yellow Cliff, the last natural barrier separating them from the 74th, who were fighting for their lives a mere 6 kilometers away.Attacker: Nationalists (25th Reorganized Division)
