2023-08-04(A) Eric Michael vs Varick Ready German winHard to say if the scenario is balanced. As American I was unable to kill Germans moving in the open not using advance movement with 20 FP and a -1 leader. The German FFE landed where it was supposed to and it allowed him to advance through LOS covered terrain of orchards. By the time I could shoot I rolled poorly and before I knew what hit me I was down 2.5 squads vs .5 German squads and he had three turns. Although the buy your own fortifications is fun, not a scenario I would recommend. I believe that the balance is with the attacker.
2022-03-18(A) Dave Mareske vs Paul Works German winAfter the German 7TH "12" rolled on MCs I conceded on turn 5, just not enough Germans to take the hill. The 122mm OBA did okay, but hit a bunch of squads on a corrected attack, but failed to do enough damage, just breaking squads. American mortars were getting hits and effects on concealed squads making it even more difficult for the Germans to stay on the hill.
