Overview:

Situated near the shores of Manila Bay were the Elks Club, the Army/Navy Club, and the High Commissioner's Office. These large structures blocked access towards Burnham Green, the Manila Hotel, and the South Port area. The Japanese positioned their defenses so that all three buildings were mutually supporting. The troopers of the 12th Cavalry Regiment drew the assignment of taking this area. They would soon discover that even with armor support it would take heroic actions by many troopers to clear the Japanese from those three key buildings.

2023-08-21(A) neal ekengren vs American winSolo with boards. USA will overrun Japs with 2 to 1 squad advantage, lots of toys, 5 tanks and one with FT. Japs didn't even try to defend the southern building. What makes this interesting is the SSR bids for USA. If somebody really really wants USA they will have to take their buildings in only 5.5 turns. I would talk the Japs in this case but never at 7.5 turns. I'd like to see more scenarios with this kind of bidding instead of the standard "TAKE IT IN 6" type victory. File showing my setup.
