Overview:

On the road to Damas, the small town of Kuneitra was easily taken by the Allies at the start of the campaign. A small force consisting of part of the 1st Battalion Royal Fusiliers commanded by Lt. Col. Gordon Orr and parts of the brigade's transport and supply, a couple of carriers and a single Marmon-Herrington armed with a 20mm Breda gun, were garrisoning the town. The battalion was short of heavy weapons other than a few Boys anti-tank rifles, and a Hotchkiss machinegun they had found a few days earlier. This small garrison faced a strong mobile force of around 1,500 men with four anti-tank guns, some R35 tanks and armored cars which had been sent in a long distance raid to disrupt the advance of the Allies. At dawn on the 16th of June, the attack began.

2023-06-29(D) Eric Topp vs John Fedoriw British winJohn attacked from the south with all his units. When he moved his infantry down from the level 3 hill, my MMG in the Minaret got ROF and KIA-ed two squads then pinned or broke most of the remaining Vichy forces so John conceded.

We think that a better attack would be to split the Vichy attack across at least two flanks using the Renault tanks for cover.
2023-06-09(D) nathan wegener vs Wes Vaughn Vichy winScenario was a bit different and the variety in the OB was good but the Brits cant do much but hunker down and shuffle troops around to slow the attack... This went down to the last turn - opponent was able to break a couple of defensive positions early and rush the village giving him just enough time to take the buildings. I did manage to take out two R35 with Molotovs...
