Overview:
The Der Hexenkessle (Witches Cauldron) had been formed. To the Germans it would prove a very hard nut to crack. Fighting on the east side of the perimeter, Kampfgruppe Spindler of the 9th SS Panzer Division made slow progress. Despite four days of ceaseless attacks, it had only been able to clear a few blocks of British occupied Oosterbeek.
