Overview:

As the second lift of Operation MARKET-GARDEN approached The Netherlands, the German and Dutch soldiers of SS-Wachbataillon "Nordwest" were finally positioned to command the trunk road leading to Arnhem from Drop Zone Y. Commanded by SS-Sturmbannführer Paul Anton Helle, these troops were accustomed to guarding concentration camps, not actual combat. However, the skirmishers of the King's Own Scottish Borderers fell back before them, leading the SS to conclude their British opposition was mediocre and would easily be routed. With the "Nordwest" battalion in position and fueled by the belief they would be facing poor quality troops; the Germans began attacking to clear the trunk road.
Attacker: German (SS) (SS-Wachbataillon III "Nordwest" with Heavy Weapons Company)
Defender: British (7th King's Own Scottish Borderers and 4th Parachute Brigade)

2025-03-29(A) S. Slunt vs Tim Osborne British winthe Germans has split into two groups one on each side of the middle road. The British were able to have numerical superiority on each side and got some lucky shots. The Germans started to disrupt and could not stop the British from running over them. It came down to German turn 5 but with on 1 one Germans not dead and in melee the Germans conceded.
I think that this game felt skrewd in favour of the British with their 8 moral and the 2 elr for the Germans that start with almost half of their force as conscripts.
2025-02-14(D) Jon Jaramillo vs David C British win3 hrsMy British set up heavy in the north and bum rushed into the middle of the board, spreading out and eliminating nearly the entire German force before their reinforcements arrived. The Germans held only building F5 and D5. The German reinforcements all entered in the south east corner of the map and set up in the woods trying to interdict my British assault on the last two buildings. It was a hard fought battle, but in the end the British mortar ended up getting two smokes down with rate and completely blocked the HMG and seriously hindered the MMG. Some seriously bad dice for the Germans doomed him as he hit me with two 24 fp shots and a 12 fp shot over two fire phases and got nearly zero results out of it. The British ended up breaking or pinning every remaining German unit on the board in their turn 6 and the Germans called it a day.
2025-02-02(A) S. Slunt vs Robert Oler German (SS) winGermans started with his forces up front. To add to that he roiled terrible in the first 2 turns. the British were have some trouble on the South board l. He brought his men on the North side of board board 62
On the turn 3 the Germans came in on the South side and were able to prevent the British from coming back and forcing the Germans east of the road There are a lot of possibilities for Replay
