Overview:
After the bloody battle for Stonne, the Grossdeutschland Regiment and 10th Panzer Division were replaced by infantry divisions. This didn’t stop the battle, which continued unabated for three weeks, with very few changes in the front line. At 6 AM on the 9th of June, the Germans launched an offensive along the entire front, resulting in another bloody battle near Stonne. Close to the La Polka Farm, the German attack hit the French line with several waves of infantry in one sector held by a single company of the 74th Infantry Regiment.Attacker: German (Infanterie-Regiment 158, Infanterie-Division 36)
