Overview:

After the bloody battle for Stonne, the Grossdeutschland Regiment and 10th Panzer Division were replaced by infantry divisions. This didn’t stop the battle, which continued unabated for three weeks, with very few changes in the front line. At 6 AM on the 9th of June, the Germans launched an offensive along the entire front, resulting in another bloody battle near Stonne. Close to the La Polka Farm, the German attack hit the French line with several waves of infantry in one sector held by a single company of the 74th Infantry Regiment.

2025-05-08(A) John Garlic vs Robert MacGinley German winNice scenario. Germans deployed heavily and were able to move quickly to infiltrate French positions. I got a couple lucky breaks and took out the tanks from up close and was able to get amongst French before village defense could solidify. The hill was lightly defend, and was able to overrun it to achieve VC.
2025-05-01(D) Andy Bagley vs Mike Grogan French winNice scenario. I think the Germans have to move quickly and take a few risks, as they have a lot of ground to cover to reach their victory objectives. A slower attack in this game meant that I was able to pull my defenders back to the village almost intact, and it was then too big a task for the Germans to achieve what they needed.
