Overview:

As the remnants of German forces in the Falaise Pocket crumbled, General Sir Bernard Mongomery ordered the British and Canadian armies to pursue the retreating Wehrmacht eastward toward the Seine. Initially slowed by the overwhelming number of German prisoners, the 2nd Canadian Division soon regained momentum. At the forefront of the pursuit, the 5th Brigade encountered determined resistance from German rearguard units. Along the Trun-Orbec road near Vimoutiers, the Black Watch came under heavy fire, prompting Le Régiment de Maisonneuve to join the fight to neutralize the enemy positions. Farther ahead, B Company of the Calgary Highlanders disrupted German engineers attempting to demolish a vital bridge.

2026-02-26(D) S. Slunt vs Robert Oler German win4 hrsGame turned out to be very exciting. The Germans were able to get a hero on to the bridge but it was still in Canadian possession. The last German movement phase was able to get the tank onto the bridge with the hero. We agreed that the tank needed to remain good order to maintain control. If it move off or or is eliminate the Bridge would go back to the Canadians. Canadian Last turn they self rallied a squad with a Piat. Prep fire he destroys the tank. But the crew survives. Now possessing the bridge and allowing the hero to maintain control if needed. At the end of Defensive and advance fire the only unit the Canadians were only able to advance a half squad to go into close combat with hero. Canadians roll to high the hero fails the Kill The bridge is still in the Germans hands for a very exciting and heart racing ending Thanks Rob for the game
2026-02-11(A) Dave Mareske vs Rex Loewen Canadian winAll the Canadian CCs went their way. Progress was fairly rapid and the panzer suffered a critical hit from 3 hexes from a PIAT. This made gaining control back of the bridge impossible.
2025-12-27(A) Dan Best vs Nathan Wegener German win1 hrsFirst to play and post.
2025-12-27(D) nathan wegener vs Dan Best German win1.83 hrsstraightforward small scenario - in our playing passing morale checks was difficult for the highlanders.
