2020-07-24(A) Shane Pask vs New Zealand / British winSo close! At the airfield, I broke the 9-1 in the control tower and pinned the squad start of turn 8. Attacked it with 4 separate stacks and all were repulsed then the 9-1 rallies the next turn. Ran everything at the last gun on the last turn, and between the recovered tower and the remaining mortar squad nothing made it. The last German squad - fanatics - ran head on at the last Bofors and pinned just short of the gun.
At the river, broke the squad in the last creek bed foxhole on turn 8 and he self rallied immediately (from DM!). He then managed to kill the first two squads attacking on the last turn but the third stack engaged him in unresolved melee. That left the foxhole on the cliffs: 2 squads and leader AMed into the trees. DFF turned the leader heroic and battle hardened but one squad pinned and one broke. The hero could not sustain CC by himself. Missed both the bridge and the airfield by one unit.
