Overview:

By Sunday, D-plus7, the beleaguered British 1st Airborne had contracted into a tight knot around the village, anchored by positions on the north bank of the Lower Rhine. Just across the water were friendly forces, but their every attempt to reach the Red Devils had failed. Within the shrinking perimeter the situation was critical. Ammunition was short and for every three men fit for combat, there were two seriously wounded. At 1030 hours, a truce was arranged for the transfer of British wounded into German care. No sooner had this operation been completed, than the shelling began anew. With it came a determined German attack intended to push the paratroopers away from the riverbank and, consequently, their tenuous link with Allied troops to the south.
Attacker: German (SS) (SS-Panzer Division 9 and sPzAbt. 506)

Add 8 “?” to the British OB. Add the following SSR: “5. Prior to play the British player may secretly record which units possess PIATs. The presence of a PIAT will be revealed when the possessing unit fires/transfers/drops the PIAT in LOS and within 16 hexes of an unbroken enemy unit, or is no longer Good Order.”. Replace the British balance with “Add one 3‑3‑8 to the British OB.”. Replace the German balance with “Delete the 8 “?” from the British OB.”MMP

2023-07-10(A) Todd Cox vs German (SS) winGermans won only because the brits had to rout out of the victory hexes on the very last turn. Had some amazing rolls in this play. 1 residual firepower achieved a KIA result! Tiger II had a critical hit but then rolled a 12 and the Brits got HoB out of that with a hero. This fast scenario was just what I needed after playing an incredibly long Dinant scenario.

2022-01-15(A) Diane Spangler vs Lawrence SpanglerA British win
2021-09-18(D) Will Willow vs F. Schwarz German (SS) winMF FtF
2021-03-21(D) Ken Rutkowski vs Bill T British winThis is a fun scenario. The German malfunctioned one of his tigers early in the game. It looked real good for my Brit's until turn 5 when I lost the 10-3 leader to a sniper and my 9-2 became a hero then was wounded. Then suffered a subsequent wound sending him to the graveyard. Two turns with only a 9-1 leader left seemed to be a daunting task. The British squads survived numerous attacks in turn 6. A desperate attempt to take the required victory hexes by the Germans was stopped by a wounded hero with a 2 ift -3drm attack on his 9-2 SS leader and 658 squad. Broke the squad and pinned the leader. My only SMC 9-1 with a crew stopped two 658 squads, a 7-0 leader and a half squad with a 4-3 attack and the remaining 2FP residual finished stopped the rest. Again a really fun scenario that went down to the last turn.
2021-03-19(A) Rick Galli vs Brian Kaschyk British win
2021-01-01(A) Dwayne Duval vs Kevin Duval German (SS) winThe Germans charged down the eastern edge to bypass most of the defenders. Both AFV parked on the road adjacent to the victory hexes providing cover for the infantry to cross the road and occupy for the victory in turn 5.
2021-01-01(D) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne Duval German (SS) winBritish forward defense was mostly bypassed which then forced my units to try and pick their way back to VC ... too late.

2017-09-28(D) Michal Bonaventura vs German (SS) win
2017-09-20(D) Alan Krause vs Tom Arnold German (SS) winMy Brits didn't stand a chance. Suprised him with my HIP gun placement, but it didn't get the deliberate immobilization, and was toast shortly thereafter.
2017-06-07(D) patrick palma vs Juan British win
2017-01-02(D) David Garvin vs Andrew Goldin German (SS) win
2017-01-01(A) Andy Goldin vs David Garvin German (SS) winDavid decided to defend primarily toward the river and screen with half squads. I moved my infantry down both sides of the only two streets to ensure there were no hidden paras and made good time getting to the river. David quickly re-assembled his defense but by that point I had him flanked and Arnhem fell to the SS.

2015-10-09(A) B-E Karlsson vs British German (SS) win
2015-07-07(A) Bill Brodie vs Steven Bond German (SS) winThis is great fun! a short, sharp scenario sized tournament where mistakes will be punished but luck can pull you through. I lost both King Tigers to PIAT shots from SMC, one from a 10-3 leader and the other from a hero! But that was not enough to keep me from getting the victory locations on the last turn!
2015-04-18(D) Dan Best vs George Kirkwood German (SS) win
2015-02-17(A) nathan wegener vs Dave Mareske British wintoo aggressive and unlucky - sniper took out my 9-2 on first turn and Germans couldnt pass a morale check. small dicey game...
2015-02-17(D) Dave Mareske vs Nathan Wegener British win
2014-12-03(A) Simon Staniforth vs British win
2014-07-17(D) Mike Restall vs Sapper_D German (SS) winSome key Brit positions were locked up in melee and both Tigers blitzed through with inf support for the win.
2013-06-08(D) Raoul Duke vs TY DrawBoard 21 was set up backwards.
2013-04-23(A) Andy Beaton vs Jeremy Brubaker German (SS) winLucky German dice were absolutely necessary to counteract the unstoppable British heroes. An interesting scenario. Using King Tigers in tight urban quarters is not for the faint of heart.
2013-01-12(D) Keith Colins vs Randy Moorehead German (SS) winCame down to the last CC roll. reversals of fortune for both sides during this fun scenario
2012-06-26(D) Simon Staniforth vs British win
2012-06-05(D) Ross Mulcare vs Chuck Tewksbury German (SS) win
2012-05-05(D) Russell Dewhurst vs Adam British winGenerally the Germans were doing better but when I took out both of their tanks (my hidden gun took out one, and a PIAT got a deliberate immobilization on the other) I was able to slow him down enough that he couldn't take the orchard in time.
2012-03-17(D) Paul Works vs Tom Meier British win
2010-11-14(D) Martí Cabré vs Santiago López German (SS) winThis is really difficult for the Brits as the German have Tiger tanks and covering infantry, and there is no HIP for the defender except for the 57, which is useful only against side or rear shots. Also, the German morale level is unstoppable.
