Overview:

Field Marshal Model had continually demanded that the Arnhem Road Bridge be opened to allow reinforcements to move south to Nijmegen. Throughout the morning, the Germans had probed the British defenses searching for weak points. Convinced that infantry alone could not dislodge the British, Lt. Colonel Harzer directed an assault supported by two heavy tanks with ordered to eliminate the British holding the east end of the ramp.
Attacker: German (SS) (Kampfgruppe Knaust, SS-Panzer Division 9)

2025-09-27(A) Dan Best vs Dave Mareske British win2.5 hrs
2025-09-27(D) Dave Mareske vs Dan Best British winThe SS lost both their tanks, one to a side PIAT shot (on the third try) and the other in CC. It was a close game up until turn 5 when several SS broke and it became clear they were not getting into the School House.
2024-09-13(A) Michal Sedlacko vs Oggdeir Drevdal British win[Imported from ROAR]
2022-12-11(A) Ron Garcia vs Darryl M. German (SS) winVery good scenario. Neither one of us had the feeling we were ever out of the game. The King Tiger was the difference as it, helped by a couple of rare rate shots, pounded the VC building. Lots of CC's with both sides losing squads. In the end, only a wounded 10-2 British leader was left unbroken. The rest of the British forces, along with the aforementioned 10-2, were broken on the first floors. The Germans had maybe 4 1/2 squads left but that was enough to secure the victory by turn 5 (of 6). Better than I though it would be!
2022-06-21(D) John Garlic vs Chris Hofland German (SS) win[Imported from ROAR]
