Overview:

It is the Spring of 1942 and the Japanese have released their own form of Blitzkrieg covering much of the globe with their power. March found them invading Java. The planned route of the Japanese 2nd Division eastward from Merak crossed the Tjioedjoeng River over three bridges at Rangkasbitoeng, Pamarajan and Kopo. In order to capture these bridges before they could be destroyed by the Dutch, 2nd Recon Regiment, split into three advance groups, was ordered to land first and make a dash for the river crossings. The Left Advance Group with 3 tankettes reached Pamarajam at 9 AM, and commander Shiraishi stormed the bridge. Halfway across it, he saw that Dutch soldiers were trying to detonate the pre-emplaced explosives, but he fired upon them and killed them. Then a Dutch armored car came up from behind; Shiraishi fired again, and disabled it. Japanese infantry dashed onto the bridge and removed the explosives.
