Overview:

Army Group South continued its push southeast, relatively unopposed. The Russians, reeling back from the earlier attacks, were attempting to set up a string of defensive positions to slow the Germans down long enough for their commanders to get reorganized. Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, supported by assault guns, launched an attack into one such village and found that the talked about tired and demoralized Russian Armies still had some fight left in them...
Attacker: German (SS) (Elements IV/Battalion suported by I/Sturmgeschute-Batterie; Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler)
Defender: Russian (Elements of the Soviet 138th Rifle Regiment)

2021-09-14(A) Jonathan Kapleau vs Holland, Donald German (SS) win
2021-03-17(A) Dave Mareske vs Michal Sedlacko German (SS) winThe Russians set up to defend the village giving the Germans some freedom of movement for the first three turns although a HIP MTR caused some delays. The Germans made good progress during the next few turns finally winning a CC with the Russian 9-1, 4-4-7 and HMG to seal the deal. The Germans were down to their final STUG and the Russians ended with one good order tank, one shocked and one in Recall. It was a great scenario with a fair amount of back and forth.
2019-04-03(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso German (SS) win
2017-02-01(D) patrick palma vs Jim Traver Russian win
2016-06-11(D) Gordon Jupp vs Nick Holmshaw Russian winExcellent scenario, posing questions for both sides! The Russians feel way to stretched but conversely the Germans wonder how they are going to cover all the ground to get the VC buildings...Our game came down to last turn; best moment was German 50mm mortar taking out a T34! Hit and snakes to immobilize, crew failed their TC and got mown down when thet abandoned :)
