Overview:
Major General V. I. Polozkov's 18th Tank Corps was given the task of crossing the Dnester River and the attack west to seize the town of Orgeev on the north bank of the River Reut. Polozkov formed a task force of eight T-34s and two SU-85s from remnants of his armored strength. Supported by a detachment of infantry, Polozkov's tanks made good progress despite bad road conditions, until they ran headlong into the counterattacking German 13th Panzer Division.Attacker: Russian (Elements 32nd Motorised Rifle Bde, 170th Tank Bde & 1438th SPA Regt., 18th Tank Corps)
