Overview:
Perún: the Slavic god of thunder and lightning - - - -A year after the German invasion of Russia, partisan activity had been gradually increasing in intensity. Partisans were gaining arms through Allied airdrops and by capturing weapons and supplies from Axis convoys. On 1 August, 1942 they increased their booty again when partisans attacked three cargo vehicles carrying Slovakian infantry near the village of Maloduše. The partisans then attacked the village and killed eight additional Slovakian soldiers of the village garrison. Back at HQ the Slovakian local commander believed the partisan perpetrators were still in Maloduše, and subsequently ordered an aerial bombardment as well as a relief expedition.Attacker: Axis (Police Garrison | Slovak Expedition "Perún" | Slovak Security Detachment)

2020-04-22 | (A) Jeff B | vs | Steve Etzelmueller | Axis win | This one appears to be a lot more interesting on paper than playing. I got extremely lucky during my Slovak AFPh by stripping concealment on a Partisan. This at least allowed my Germans to advance into slightly better position to withstand the onslaught. I didn't contest the big building, instead stocking the second building from floor to ceiling in a bid to delay its capture. This worked quite well, as the building didn't change hands until Turn 3. By that time my Slovaks were well-positioned for their attempt to recapture it, and had 3/4 of the Locations well in hand by the middle of Turn 4. The Partisans have very little answers for the Slovak HTs and, with so much time remaining, my opponent called it a day. We even played with Allied Balance of being stealthy.

2013-10-06 | (A) nathan wegener | vs | Dan Best | Axis win | Fun situation with Slovak (axis minor) troops coming to the rescue of German defenders ambushed on all sides by Partisans. Felt to me like the Partisans don't have quite enough tools to keep the Slovaks from retaking the village.- I'd recommend giving the Partisans balance as a couple of CC the other way would have made it tight.
