Overview:
When the first Jordanian rounds began to land in new Jerusalem, Israel tempered its response in hopes that the show of force was just that, a show to impress Cairo. It was not to be. The aggression was escalated on 5 June as Jordanian armor and mechanized infantry began to move through Samaria to encircle Jerusalem. The Jordanian attack had to be stopped at all costs and one of the few nearby Israeli units was the 10th Mechanized Brigade. The clash would pit the Jordanian 60th Armored Brigade against Centurians of the 10th Brigade at French Hill, located just north of Jerusalem.Attacker: Israeli (Elements of the 10th Mechanized Brigade)
