Overview:

An encircling force, the Chinese 114th Regiment with the 6th Field Artillery Battery, was sent circling south to cross the River Tanai at Kantau. The Chinese regiment collided with the Japanese in a series of sharp actions along two small creeks. The jungle made it difficult for the Chinese to organize and coordinate their attacks; the supporting 6th Battery could not even take part until fields of fire were cut. But as this arduous task was underway, infiltrating parties of the Japanese 55th Infantry Regiment surrounded the battery. The 3/114th, charged with supporting the guns, was split into four fragments, no two of them in contact. The Chinese gunners were forced to fight to save their guns, and themselves, alone.

2023-04-28(A) Martí Cabré vs Pedro Pastor Chinese winWith the Japanese I attacked throught the mostly clear left flank, but the Chinese defenders rolled several 2 and 3 first firing killing four of my squads. His own MMG survived 4 MC with a 7 morale squad, allowing it to fire too much. Even so, I managed to do the whole flanking, capture and destroy the first gun and finally banzai to get the other 2 guns, I managed to capture and destroye the gun on the right flank and in the one in the center we did hand to hand melee for two turns and we both throw everything in. He rolled low to kill all the Japanese, thanks to a Chinese dare death squad and I lost for this last roll, with zero Japanese units surviving the scenario. At least they did not take the dishonor home.
2023-03-19(D) Rob Schmitt vs Kevin Bradshaw Chinese winKC March Madness. I was Chinese defender vs Japanese attacker. 3 Art guns are the victory condition. The Japanese attacked to my center and right. My Chinese IIFT shots were very lucky throughout. I DMed his scouts and then stripped his squads as they closed in for CC. The Chinese did well in CC and stopped several attacks cold. Japanese conceded due to loss of forces.
2022-05-22(D) Pascal Boileau vs Serge Doba Chinese winA very nice and furious scenario. Around 75 to 80% of the initial OB of both sides disappeared during the game... At the end, it was really closed but the Japanese lost too many troops in the three first turns and were unable to fulfill the VC.
2022-05-22(A) Doba Serge vs Pascal B Chinese win
2020-08-27(D) Chris Anthony vs David Garvin Chinese winIlluminating Rounds tournament. Another slug-fest with both sides losing most of their forces. The last MPh of turn 7, the Japanese attempted to rush the remaining Gun. Gun crew and two Chinese squads killed off the last charging units at point blank range. Very close and exciting game.
