Overview:

After successfully reducing the pocket in the Battle of Tomaszów Lubelski, the German Fourteenth Army did not expect to encounter any significant Polish forces. However, the German IV Corps encountered resistance and was halted. The Polish units were surrounded by both the Germns and Russians on all sidea, and on 21 September engaged elements of the German VII and VIII Corps. General Schobert, the VII Corps commander, ordered his forces to conduct limited attacks and hold their positions. Inexplicably, the Corps' 2nd Infantry Division not only disregarded the attack order, but wihdrew six kilometers, leaving a gap in the German lines.

2021-06-18(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Fabio Malino Polish winThe Germans Need to push very hard in this One. The poles nave to ne kept off balance. Fabio all'ospedale me too much time to establish my defence line.
2021-06-18(A) Fabio Malino vs Paolo Polish winPaolo is too experienced an opponent for my game. He monitored my progress throughout the game, effectively countering me to the point of denying me any chance of victory
2020-06-10(A) Chuck Dye vs DD German win
2020-05-26(D) Dave Mareske vs Dennis Dowd Polish winGetting my sea legs established with ASL VASL thanks to Dennis. The Germans pushed hard through the forest with the Poles slinking back. Seems every Defensive Fire shot ended up with a Pinned German, so the Poles avoided many CC. The Poles ended up taking back one of the buildings on the last turn CC with a concealed unit ambushing the German units inside. Great game...very balanced.
2020-03-01(D) walter mcwilliams vs Tom Kearney German winTom and I locked horns again in our on going PiF odyssey I tried my my best to make the woods of boards 7aand 34 live up to their sobriquet but, in this all infantry slug fest it wasn't enough.  I executed a good fighting withdrawal and my reinforcements were able to come on unmolested but it wasn't enough.  I held all three buildings on the left but my force guarding the cross roads was annihilated.  The cross roads, actually the math of the crossroads and all of board 7a, is the essential thing to keep in mind.  The one thing I did wrong was not designate a squad from my initial set up to dig foxholes near/on the crossroads.  I think this is crutial to holding them.
