Overview:
The Izhorsk factory, founded by Peter the Great, was the greatest in the Russian heavy industry sector, producing, among other things, the T-34 and KV tanks. Among those defending the factory were the members of the Izhorsk factory volunteer units. Most of them were armed with rifles, carbines, hand grenades and pistols.
