Overview:

Throughout the morning, Belgian resistance, roadblocks, demolitions, and the confined roads of the Ardennes played havoc with the German advance. Despite these problems, by mid-afternoon German forces were finally in position to attack across the Sûre River. The Belgians of 5th Company, 1er Régiment de Chasseurs Ardennais armed with machine-guns and well protected in stone-walled buildings near the centre of the village, were ready for a fierce fight.

2025-03-27(A) Mark Thompson vs Paul Anderson (Belgian) Belgian winGerman assault successfully crossed the Sure but crumbled with the loss of 8-1/4-5-8 (w/DC) to mine attack and 9-1/4-5-8 (with other DC), to 6+2 shot, the former part of the flanking force and latter ready to advance on the Pillbox in CC. Enjoyed game and like the looks of this HASL, which might be better in the CG than individual scenarios which fairly significantly constrict freedom of movement.
2019-11-23(A) O Ramaille vs German winThe German assault across the Sure river was divided in two wings and began with some casualties caused by accurate MG fire. The arrival of armored cars through wires and mines was a success. With rout path cut by the AC, some Belgian troops in Bodange had to surrender to the German infantry. The AC were soon to recalled but the way to the pillbox was opened. Despite a small resistance, the Belgian troops were decimated by the Germans. Eventually, an easy victory for the Germans.
