Overview:
May Day found the symbol of victory flying from the Reichstag but the fighting for the Reichstag was not over. SS troops continued to funnel into the basement of the Reichstag from across the street and the remaining SS troops in the upper levels continued to resist fiercely. While the 674th and 756th Rifle Regiments continued to fight with the SS diehards, the 380th Rifle Regiment passed by the Reichstag to clear the buildings around the Brandenburg Gate.Attacker: Russian (Elements 674th & 756th Rifle Regts, 150th Rifle Division & 380th Rifle Regt, 171st Rifle Division)
