Overview:
The Soviet 6th Guard Tank Army was attacking to the south along the Garam River, threatening the rear of the LVII Panzerkorps. This forced the Germans in Gyerk to retreat to the area of Ipolyvisk. Seeing the danger presented by this Soviet advance, Hauptman Glaubitz formed a kmapfgruppe that included armored cars and halftracks from Panzer-Aufklärungs Abteilung 3 along with a Wirblewind from FlaK Abteilung 314. Kampfgruppe Glaubitz counterattacked the Soviets that were now attempting to penetrate the Ipolyvisk Bridgehead. Across rolling farmland, Glaubitz led the reconnaissance troops until they made contact with a battery of SU-85 tank destroyers.Attacker: German (Panzer-Aufklärungs Ateilung 3 and FlaK-Abteilung 314, Panzer Division 3)
