Overview:
The Soviet 5th Guards Tank Corps had overrun Ebed and was now attacking the village of Muzsla from all sides. Inside Muzsla, the Hungarian 53rd Pioneer Battalion, along with a mixed force of Pz IVs from the 2nd Armored Division and Hetzers of the 16th Assault Artillery Battalion, hunkered down to defend the village. Early in the morning, the Soviets began preparatory fire against the north side of Muzsla. Simultaneously, two T-34 tanks smashed their way into the defenders on the east side of Muzsla, knocking out a Hungarian Hetzer in the process.Attacker: Russian (1st and 2nd Battalions, 6th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade and 21st and 22nd Guards Tank Brigade, 5th Guards Tank Corps)
