Overview:

Informed that only a scant rearguard remained in Warsaw, Stalin at last authorized the liberation of the city. In the pre-dawn darkness, Soviet formations seized the undestroyed bridges and cleared the west bank of the Vistula River. Near noon, they moved off to clear the city center. The Soviet forces contacted the German defense at a dozen points within minutes. . .

2025-03-15(D) S. Slunt vs Tim Osborne German winThis is your standard early ASL Scenario with many turns spent as the Russian move up the board to take the building or exit VP off the board. Game as a standard slog until the Russian were able to get into the building by Going Berserk. There was 2 CC in the building that ended int Mass destruction with the loss of only the weapons remaining in the hexes. The Germans were able to recover the dropped weapons and get more reinforcement into the build and hide on the first and second floor..
2021-12-13(D) David Garvin vs Loic Gourdon Russian winLoic needed 30 VP to win. He got exactly 31 out at the last turn. He was able to turn my flank through some effective use of Infantry to screen ahead for his tanks and then once he punched through, I had no chance to stop him.

2018-02-15(A) David Garvin vs Jeff Buser German win
2018-02-15(D) Jeff B vs David Garvin German win7 hrsThe first half of the game looked good for the Russians as they methodically moved infantry forward to protect the tanks, which moved in afterwards to slowly force the Germans out of key positions. Turn 6 was a major turning point for the Germans as they created a hero, knocked out a tank, and another bogged moving through wire. At one point during this stretch the Germans rolled three 2s in a row. Faced with having to cross a board in only three more turns the Russians decided to throw up the white flag.
2015-02-09(A) Seumas Hoskins vs Russian win
2014-12-28(A) nathan wegener vs Kevin A Russian winCharged down the German right flank as Krauts were preparing for building assault.
2012-12-20(A) Martí Cabré vs Eloi Soler German winI grouped the Russians to advance using only a map edge to minimize exposure, but the Germans had prepared their MG in very good positions with good bore sighted Locations. They mowed down the Russian infantry every time I crossed the street and burned the first tank that got close using Panzerfausts. Then I tried to advance more cautiously but all my fire attacks failed and could not make progress. Time was running out and I finally conceded.

2011-09-14(A) Will Willow vs PJ Norton German winFtF
2011-03-05(D) Ian Willey vs James Short Russian winDifficult to defend the whole board , seemed an easy victory for the Russians
2010-05-14(A) Michael Rodgers vs Bruno L'Archeveque Russian winI won because the German forgot to defend against exit VC. Still close, thanks to dice.
2009-08-06(D) Dan Best vs Mike Bistodeau Russian win
2006-10-27(D) David Ramsey vs Martin Barker German winCracking scenario. Lots going on. Lots of ground to cover for the Russians, lots of ground to defend for the Germans,
