Overview:

Operation Crusader was boiling around the Sidi Rezeg area, and General Freyberg's New Zealand 6th Brigade was dangerously exposed. The Kiwis were perched on the Sidi Rezeg ridge and airfield, sandwiched between the German 155th Infantry Regiment on the next ridge to the south and the Italians to the north and west. Beyond the Bersaglieri Division to the west lay the 4th New Zealand Brigade. The Kiwi plan was a straight-forward night attack, westward along the crest of the Sidi Rezeg escarpment.
Attacker: New Zealand (24th Battalion, 6th New Zealand Brigade)
Defender: Italian (9th Bersaglieri Division)

2023-06-05(A) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne DuvalD Italian winAllies initial push was successful in silencing the Italian Gun on the hill. But dogged defenders kept up murderous fire throughout DFPh & continued in same fashion with their PFPh breaking most of the attackers. Desperate to save the situation remain able bodied units rushed in to their doom. All attacking units were DM at end of T2 ;(

2022-10-24(D) M T vs T.L. Italian winWe both liked the scenario more than we initially thought we would. It was a tight fight, with my Italians pulling out a narrow win in the end. The ANZACs opted for a cautious approach through my southern flank and up the hill. They prioritized hanging on to the Cloaking counters, which caused them to run out of time in the end - though just barely. I managed to slow them down enough by using Method 1 Starshells with my forward deployed MMCs and firing with a kill stack (9-2, 2xMMC, LMG+MMG) from P6.

We used the Italian balance for this game so marking it as a duplicate. Based on this playing I would recommend using it - initially it might look like the effect of exchanging two 458s for 457s is not too great, but the 457s break significantly easier and rallying guys is harder with the Night rules.
2022-10-24(A) Tommi Lehtinen vs M T Italian win
2020-01-02(A) David Stoffey vs Jay Dragonetti New Zealand winSeems pretty unbalanced in favor of the New Zealanders. Would recommend using the balance, and then some maybe.
